Giving Viraball a Whirl: A Vibrational Physiotherapy Product Review
Share
After my previous experience with Tremor Miracle capsules, which didn't quite hit the mark (full review here), I switched my focus to a different kind of essential tremor product. This time, I put the Viraball to the test. The Viraball, a vibrational physiotherapy device, is promoted as a tool for easing hand tremors in people with essential tremor and other similar conditions. The concept was intriguing, prompting me to venture into a one-week trial with this device.
About Viraball
The Viraball is a vibrational physiotherapy device designed specifically to target and alleviate hand tremors. It is based on the principles of local vibration therapy, a treatment method that has shown potential for reducing tremors in patients with essential tremor, as indicated in research studies like this one. According to the brand's website (image below), a 10-minute session with the Viraball can potentially provide up to four hours of tremor relief.
My honest review
My trial with Viraball consisted of three 10-minute sessions per day for about a week. Despite this consistent usage, I didn't see a reduction in my tremors under everyday circumstances. My regular tremor intensity remained largely unchanged throughout the trial, which was a disappointment.
On a more positive note, I did stumble upon an unexpected advantage of the Viraball. After engaging in physically demanding activities such as lifting weights or carrying heavy objects, which would typically increase my tremor intensity, I found that using the Viraball immediately afterwards helped to stabilize my hand shaking. My tremors would return to their normal level almost instantly, which was a pleasantly surprising discovery.
With these results, I pondered whether purchasing the Viraball was truly worth it. In hindsight, had I known what I know now, I may have opted not to buy the device. It didn't deliver on its promise to mitigate my everyday tremors. However, now that I own it, I am pleased to have discovered a new way to manage my tremor intensity following physical exertion.
